White Vinyl Windows With Wood Trim. I know purchasing the white vinyl windows was a mistake but its too late. Honestly wood casement windows are pretty much the top of the line as far as windows are concerned i have double paned wood casements myself and decided to restore mine instead of going the vinyl route because the look and durability of wood is beyond what vinyl offers.
We re also exploring the diy route of course but even those replacements with wood interiors average about 1 000 a window. So don t be afraid of going white on the exterior of your home. I can t get past the stark white vinyl against the dark stained wood trim and i think my only answer is to paint the wood.
I know everyone is going to tell me not to paint it but all i can see is the white vinyl.
You do not want the trim to look different than the white windows so instead of painting the trim sw 6196 paint it a white that is very close to sw 6196 but just a bit warmer.
